Functional sculpture, 2022

Philippe has been invited to participate to OPEN END 2, an exhibition in the famed Cimetière des Rois, the artist cemetery of Geneva. For this venue Philippe proposes a sculpture with a 180 degree left twist, evoking or maybe invoking the dead, the passage from life to death and back to life. Cosmogony as per the Egyptians, speaks of the eternal cycle, with the sun dying at dusk to be reborn the following morning. Thus making his sculpture a place of meditation and reflection.
