Altar, 2023

This unique piece was created specifically for the Chapel at Casa Newton in Tuscany. The artist Nicolas Party had just finished his mural when Philippe Cramer was asked to intervene in the space. The altar was created with the Tuscan landscape as inspiration, an echo to the surrounding nature much like Philippe’s Golden Landscapes embroidery series that portray Swiss mountain scapes.
